ATTENTION PARENTS: There are a few things that need to be done before you and your student embark on this endeavor. After your parent/guardian has received the Texas Parent-Taught Driver Education Packet and is fully-approved by the DPS to serve as your driving instructor, go ahead and enroll in laredodrivingschool.com's online parent-taught driver's ed course by clicking "Register" below, and begin the course. Please know that Texas law limits the amount of time you and your parent/guardian may work on the course to two (2) hours per day. Yeah, we know....you're thinking "What? How come? I want to get done with this course ASAP!". The reason is simple: driving a vehicle in Texas is literally a matter of life and death. To make certain you land on the right side of that matter, there's a lot of important information you will need to learn, and you need some time for it all to "digest" before moving on to new concepts.
After you and your parent-instructor complete Module 1 of laredodrivingschool.com's parent-taught driver ed course, you will be able to obtain your Texas learner's license at your local driver's license office and start the behind-the-wheel training portion of the driver's education course.

All you need to do is follow these instructions to get started:
- Have your parent/guardian-instructor complete and submit a request form for a DPS Parent-Taught Driver Education Packet. (It is best not to enroll in laredodrivingschool.com's Texas parent-taught driver education course until after your parent/guardian-instructor has received the packet from the DPS and have been approved to serve as your driving instructor).
- Once your parent/guardian has received the Parent-Taught Driver Education Packet from the Texas DPS, go ahead and sign-up at laredodrivingschool.com.
- Complete the online driver education course, which is divided into chapters, with each chapter concluding with a short quiz.
- After you have completed Module 1 of the laredodrivingschool.com online parent-taught driver education course, you should apply for your Texas learner license (this will allow you to begin the behind-the-wheel training portion of the course).
- Continue working through the laredodrivingschool.com parent-taught online Texas driver education course (remember, you may work for no more than two (2) hours per day on your driver education course).
- Take the final exam and achieve a passing score - yes, you may to take it as many times as you need to pass it!
- We will send you a completion certificate, according to the type of delivery you selected at registration.
